Overview
Greenhithe House is a recently completed bespoke residence designed by Smith & Scully Architecture, combining modern architectural form with a refined palette of natural materials. Expansive living spaces and carefully considered detailing create a home that balances luxury, comfort, and functionality. Coastal worked closely with the project team to deliver electrical and technology systems, ensuring each element supports both the architectural vision, and the way the home is used.

The Brief
The project required a comprehensive electrical and technology infrastructure capable of supporting both everyday family living and entertaining. The home includes multiple living areas and a range of lifestyle amenities, including a swimming pool, tennis court, snooker room, and internal gym. Lighting and services needed to integrate seamlessly into the architecture, preserving clean lines and the natural material palette while enhancing the textures of timber and brick throughout the home.

Design Response - Lighting Design & Installation
Coastal implemented a layered lighting approach across the interior and exterior spaces, designed to complement the architecture and highlight the home’s natural materials. Carefully positioned lighting gently grazes timber ceilings and brick surfaces, bringing warmth and depth to the interiors while maintaining a calm, refined atmosphere. Exterior lighting extends the living experience into the surrounding landscape, subtly illuminating outdoor entertaining areas, pathways, and architectural elements.

Design Response - Architectural Electrical
Coastal delivered the full electrical installation for the residence, coordinating services throughout the project to ensure they remained discreet within the architecture while providing robust functionality.Power infrastructure supports the home’s extensive amenities, including the swimming pool, spa pool, tennis court, gym, and multiple entertainment areas. A structured data network provides reliable connectivity throughout the property, supporting the home’s integrated technologies and future expansion. Security and access control systems were also integrated across the home, including alarm, cameras, and gate access, providing both security and convenience. A premium multi-room audio system was installed using discreet James Loudspeaker units with custom grilles, allowing the speakers to blend seamlessly into the timber ceilings while delivering high-quality sound across the living spaces.
